Cande Tschetter, Ph.D., APR

candeDr. Tschetter is an executive, educator and veteran communicator experienced in business, academia and client management. She is known for producing results-driven and award-winning campaigns utilizing a diverse background in market research, planning and execution. As a highly-skilled project manager, she is an innovative problem-solver, motivational leader and respected adjunct professor at Central Michigan University, AT Still University and Baker College.

Change management and career transition are areas of additional expertise. Dr. Cande has conducted research into women's career development and transition among mid-life women to careers considered to hold more purpose by the individuals. She now coaches individuals who seek career transformation and business leaders challenged to transform organizations to meet the demands of the 21st century.

Accredited by the Public Relations Society of America, she earned a Ph.D. in Business, concentrating on Organization and Management. She also holds a master of science degree in Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Community Development and Public Administration from Central Michigan University.

Susan BollingerSusan has an extensive background in health care public relations, and has been on the inside of public and media relations operations at Henry Ford Health System, The Detroit Medical Center, Bon Secours Cottage Health Services and Garden City Hospital. Her for-profit public relations experience includes managing corporate communications for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Her journalism background means quick copywriting with economy of word and creative turn of phrase, as well as the ability to work with designers to achieve the client’s vision.

At Tschetter & Associates, her range of expertise includes organizational communications and public relations, media relations, web site content creation and design editing, and publication production, from concept to completion.

A bachelor’s degree in communications and German from Michigan State University and a master of arts degree from Wayne State University have provided a solid foundation for creative strength and tactical success with Tschetter & Associates clients.

Jacquie Trost
Senior Director, Media Marketing

Jacqueline TrostJacqueline’s responsibilities include copywriting, social media marketing and web strategies. Blending new media with traditional marketing and communication strategies is her expertise. With nearly 10 years of experience in media relations, strategic marketing and communication planning, copywriting and Web 2.0 strategies, she had the creative know-how to build and execute successful campaigns.

As a seasoned marketing and communications professional in the non-profit field, Jacqueline has worked for two large Metro Detroit health systems. Including a stint at the Detroit Regional Chamber, the largest chamber of commerce in the country, and a 60-year old non-profit investment education organization.

Jacqueline has a bachelors degree in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts from Central Michigan University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association. She also volunteers on the Promotions Committee of the Ferndale (MI) Downtown Development Authority.

Letha Williams, Ph.D.

Dr._LethaDr. Williams is a strategist, researcher, educator, and executive in the general business, health care, and non-profit sectors. Her expertise is in strategy development, quantitative and qualitative research methods, marketing communications, organizational crisis and change management, team building, and leadership development. With more than 30 years of experience in leadership roles, Dr. Williams has championed many growth-oriented and successful strategic plans, developed and led award-winning teams, and coached supervisors, peers, and students who are currently making positive contributions to their organizations and disciplines.

Dr. Letha holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management with a focus in Leadership and research interest in ethics. Her dissertation examined the ethical decision making of hospital marketing leaders. She also holds a Master of Public Administration earned at the University of Michigan, and a bachelor degree in journalism earned at Oakland University. Her academic appointments include Associate Professor of Health Administration at A. T. Still University, and adjunct professor at Baker College, Davenport University, and Trident University International.

tfrey1Thomas Frey is a strategic writer, editor and business communicator with 20 years of experience in healthcare marketing, public relations and HR communications. He has developed annual reports for Fortune 500 corporations, produced web content for major healthcare systems, and written annual enrollment materials for some of the nation’s largest employers. With a background like that, he’s comfortable in any business setting — whether crafting strategic messages with senior executives, interviewing world-renowned cancer researchers or educating employees about new healthcare and retirement benefits. He is the winner of national awards for strategic communication and writing, including a Writer’s Digest award for Feature Writing and the PRSA’s Silver Anvil Award of Excellence in Non-Profit Brand Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University and is Accredited in Public Relations (APR). 

Joan Gilbert Gargaro, MBA
Account Executive Associate

Joan_Gargaro Joan’s marketing experience covers a diverse group of industries, from automotive to financial services and entertainment venues.  Her experience includes extensive market planning, consumer and corporate research, advertising campaign development, direct/email programs, as well as e-newsletters and PowerPoint presentations. In addition, she has worked with a number of educational and healthcare-related non-profits and social agencies to develop brands/logos, online newsletters, promotional campaigns, plan and manage major fundraising events, and social media marketing.

Joan has a B.S. with honors from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Marketing Strategies from the University of Detroit-Mercy.  She has taught marketing courses at Wayne State University and served on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Chapter of the America Marketing Association.  She has completed a graduate course at Michigan State University for certification in social media marketing, “New Media Driver’s License.”  She also volunteers in multiple community programs for mental health care, educational, and medical research. Most recently, she undertook the development of a marketing communications program for an Oakland County non-profit.
